Synopsis

Bimba - Aa Tombatthu Nimishagalu revolves around the life, ideologies and sufferings of Sami Venkatadri Iyer, better known by his pen-name “Samsa”, who was a renowned Kannada poet and playwright who lived in the pre-independence era of India in the 20th century. Samsa suffered from a mental disorder known as the “persecution complex” and was in constant fear of being hounded by the police. Despite many of his contemporaries’ constant efforts to help him, his fears and delusions were never put to rest. His condition constantly deteriorated over time and eventually led to his tragic suicide.
