Bengaluru International Film Festival - BIFFES


Kalan Varkey is a buffalo butcher on whom the entire village relies for fresh meat. A regular ritual of buffalo slaughter goes haywire for him when the animal breaks lose and creates havoc across the village. With accusitions being made, the police are called in and the entire village gets engrossed in catching the errant animal. Mob mentality soon prevails. The entire village is led by adversaries Kuttachan and Anthony, who having old scores to settle, take the matter into their own hands. The film questions the line existing between Man and beast, which slowly disappears.
